Hotel Leak Detection, a specialist service from ADI Leak Detection. Your call goes to ADI’s office, an ADI engineer comes to the hotel, and ADI is the company you deal with from booking to report.
The company behind the service
Adrian founded ADI Leak Detection in 2011 as a specialist leak company, back when finding a leak usually meant opening things up. He took up non-invasive methods early and grew the firm from a local service into a national one. Following his death, ADI Leak Solutions Ltd was set up to continue the business under the same name and principles. It is run today by managing director Monique Dray, who has been with ADI for more than ten years.
More than twenty-five leak investigation engineers now cover England, Scotland and Wales. Bookings, scheduling, reports and questions from hotel teams are handled by the office in High Wycombe. ADI says all its engineers are qualified, registered plumbers. It does not take on general plumbing, and roofs and building fabric are outside its repairs.
ADI’s website points to more than a thousand five-star reviews on Trustpilot. When we checked the independent profile on 14 September 2026, it showed a TrustScore of 4.7 from 1600+ reviews.
Why hotels get their own name
A hotel is not a big house. Its bathrooms are stacked on shared risers, its plant is commercial, its pool has its own pipework, and every room out of service costs money that night. The questions a hotel manager asks are different from a homeowner's: who lets the engineer in, what has to be switched off, will the insurer accept the report, can you do our other sites.
Hotel Leak Detection brings those answers together, with real hotel jobs as the evidence. Behind the name, the engineers, the booking terms and the report are ADI’s.
Accreditations, insurance and coverage
What a hotel group’s insurer, owner or head of maintenance tends to ask for, as ADI publishes it.
- CIPHE
- Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering. ADI describes itself as one of the only CIPHE-accredited leak detection specialists in the country.
- WIAPS
- On the Water Industry Approved Plumbers Scheme, which means plumbing work meets the Water Fittings Regulations.
- WaterSafe
- Listed on the national WaterSafe register of approved plumbing businesses.
- SPATA
- Approved by the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association, which matters if the hotel has a pool. ADI states it is the only SPATA-approved pool leak detection company in the UK.
- CSCS
- Engineers carry Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards for sites where building work is under way.
- Insurance
- £5 million public liability insurance. Risk assessments and method statements are provided before work starts on commercial premises.
- Coverage
- England, Scotland and Wales, with engineers based around the regions. Give the office the postcode to check availability.
- Office hours
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:30pm. Calls are recorded for quality and training.
How a hotel booking works
Ring the office and describe the building, the rooms affected and who can arrange access. The team works out which investigation suits the problem, gives you a quote and books the engineer. They keep track of the job during the visit and send the report when it is done, and they are the people your insurer or contractor should call about the findings.
